The Roy Bailey Big Band
Due to the current pandemic, and in line with UK government advice, the RBBB has called a temporary halt to rehearsals and live performances. We are still playing however so click on the link below to visit our virtual performances page to see and hear us in action.
The Roy Bailey Big Band has been entertaining audiences in and around the South Oxfordshire area for over 20 years.
Based in the village of Goring, the 18-piece band is made up of keen local musicians in a typical big band line-up of trumpets, trombones, saxes and rhythm. We are joined regularly by our wonderful male and female vocalists and play a broad range of jazz standards and beyond to suit all tastes. We perform 8-10 times each year in a mix of public concerts/charity events/private bookings (see our Public Performances pages to see where you can catch us) and please do feel free to contact us if you are interested in booking the band for private functions, weddings or corporate events.
We are always happy to receive enquiries from musicians interested in playing with us, either regularly, or when you can, and currently have vacancies for another regular trumpet and trombone player (we currently have three of each). We rehearse Thursday nights in Goring (except during August) and if you are interested in coming along to play, please see our Join Us pages for more information.
